All Japan BMX Championships
7 Oct 2024
Toyo Tires will be a top sponsor of the 41st All Japan Cycling Championships BMX Racing, to be held at Oizumi Ryokuchi (Kita-ku, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture) on Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th.
BMX competitions are divided into two categories: "race," in which participants compete for finishing order on an undulating course, and "freestyle", in which participants perform tricks within a time limit and compete for originality and difficulty. Race has been an official event since the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and freestyle since the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Both BMX events were held at the Paris Olympics this year, and are attracting attention as part of the extreme sports world.
This is the highest level tournament in Japan and serves as a qualifying tournament for the world championships. BMX athletes from all over the country will compete for the title of Japanese champion.
In order to support the BMX athletes who are challenging the world, Toyo Tires began sponsoring the tournament in 2018 and has been the top sponsor since 2019. In addition, three members of GAN TRIGGER, Japan's first professional BMX team supported by our company, Yoshimura Ikkan, Shimada Ryo, and Nishimura Neneka, are scheduled to participate in this tournament.
As last year, there will be a BMX experience space at the venue, allowing those who have never tried BMX before to experience the fun and excitement of the sport.
Through our sponsorship of this tournament, we support elite athletes on the world stage helping to further develop BMX racing.
